Our Story
Our story started in September of 2021, Kelsey and Tate both met up with friends at a bar in Charlotte - unbeknownst to each of them that they were about to meet their person. Tate interjected himself into Kelsey’s conversation and that marked the start of what has grown into a deep and meaningful connection.
Over the past 2+ years, Kelsey & Tate have shared hobbies, laughs, our sweet dog Sadie, and become each other’s best friend.
Grateful is the word that springs to mind when they reflect on their paths aligning. It may sound cheesy, but the more they got to know each other, the more it felt meant to be. They balance each other, support each other, and look forward to forever.
Tate found the perfect ring in the summer of 2023, with all the plans of proposing in the early Fall. Unfortunately, his knee had other plans, collapsing after years of abuse in every rec sports league Tate could find, and forcing Kelsey to become his caretaker for the next couple of months. Three months later, on November 18th, Tate finally got down on one knee and asked Kelsey to spend forever together. The next couple hours were a blur, but they are pretty sure Kelsey said “yes” at some point.
The paths that led us to each other were shaped by all of you. We cannot wait to spend our special day with all of our closest friends and family.
